Do players need an app?
No. A browser on any phone, laptop or tablet is enough.
Can we play over a video call?
Yes. Share the big screen on the call. The clip plays on every player’s phone, so nobody depends on the call’s sound.
Is it good for a family night?
Very. Nan only needs the room code. You write the questions, so make them as gentle or as savage as the family deserves.
How many players can join?
Up to 30 on Free, and up to 200 on PRO.
What does it cost?
Playing is always free. Hosting is free too on the Free plan, for quizzes of up to 10 rounds and up to 30 players. PRO gives you more of everything, as shown above.
What does the host need?
A laptop, a screen everyone can see and a quiz you've made. You sign in with your email, so there's no password to remember. Players need a phone and the internet.
How do I make a quiz?
Upload or record songs, sounds and photos, write your own questions, paste in a quiz your own AI assistant wrote from your notes, or ask for a mini-game on a theme. Give each round two, three or four answers and choose which part of the song or photo to show.
Where do the songs and photos come from?
From you: songs, sounds and photos you own or have the right to use, plus the questions you write.
Does Tossup run the game automatically?
It can. Turn on auto-advance and the game moves from question to reveal to scoreboard without a click. You can still pause, skip or move on yourself at any time.
Does it work offline?
No. The host and every player need an internet connection.
