Save and load packs

A pack is a saved quiz. Build it once, play it at the Christmas party, then load it again for the family in January.

Save a pack

  1. On the Quiz tab, type a Pack name at the top.
  2. Press Save pack.

If the quiz came from a pack, saving updates that pack. To rename a pack, load it, change its Pack name and save it again.

Start game saves the pack too, so a quiz you play is never lost.

Load a pack

On the Packs tab, press Load beside the pack. It opens on the Quiz tab, ready to change or play.

Loading replaces the quiz you’re building, and Tossup asks before it does. Save that one first if you want to keep it.

Each pack shows its rounds, about how long it runs, and either Ready to play or Needs work.

Copy or delete

Duplicate makes a copy called “… copy”. It’s the easy way to make a harder version, or the same quiz for a different crowd, without touching the original.

Delete removes a pack once you confirm it. The sounds and pictures it used stay in your library.

Paste in a quiz

Got notes, a slide deck or a topic in mind? Your own AI assistant can turn them into a quiz, and Tossup brings it in as a pack.

  1. Press Paste in a quiz on the Quiz or Packs tab.
  2. Press Copy instructions and paste them into your assistant, with your notes.
  3. Copy its whole answer back into Your assistant’s answer, or choose the file it gave you.
  4. Press the button to add its rounds as a pack. The quiz lands on the Packs tab, made of text rounds.

Load it, check the questions, then play it like any other pack. Your notes stay with your assistant; Tossup keeps only the quiz.

Packs and your library

A pack holds the rounds, not the files. Its songs and pictures live in your library on the Sounds and Pictures tabs, so one baby photo can star in three packs.

So think twice before deleting a sound or a picture: every pack that uses it loses it too. Load those packs and swap that round for something else.

Your packs are yours alone: there’s no way to send one to another host yet.

The stage is yours.
