Playing on your phone
Send this one to your players. No app, no account: a room code and a phone with a browser is all it takes.
Join
- Scan the QR code on the big screen, or open tossup.gg/join and type the room code.
- Pick a name, up to 20 characters. Make it one the room will recognise.
- Press Join the game, then I am ready.
Sound
The music plays on your phone, so turn the volume up. Sitting next to someone? Only one of you needs the sound on.
Can’t have sound right now? Press Continue without sound and play along with the big screen.
Answer
Tap the shape with your answer. One tap locks it in, and the faster you are, the more you score. A wrong guess costs nothing but your streak, so have a go.
Text rounds keep the answers hidden for a few seconds while you read. In a mini-game, just play: your best score counts.
If something goes wrong
- Keep the tab open. If your phone sleeps or you switch apps, the clip may not play.
- Dropped out? Open the link again on the same phone. You come back as yourself, score and all.
- “That name is taken”: someone beat you to it. Add an initial.
- “This game is full”: the room has as many players as the host’s plan allows.
- “This game has already started”: ask the host to turn on Late join.
